Welcome to the Homepage of Cub Scout Pack 47 in Rahway, NJ
This site is being designed to provide you all the information you need about Cub Scouts. We will be continually updating the site over the next couple weeks. So be sure to stop back frequently to see what's new.

Our Dens will meet once a week on Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church of Rahway at the corner of West Grand and Church Streets (Click here for map). The meeting begins at 7:00 pm in the scouting room.
Monthly Pack meetings are held on the third Friday of the month, starting at 7:30. Be sure to check the calendar for times.

Gentlemen Start your engines!!!
Derby Car racing 2010. We had our Pinewood Derby Grandprix at the last Pack meeting. The scouts put together some great derby cars and had an terrific time racing them.
A special thanks to everyone who helped get the room ready and the track together.
We will have some pictures of this exciting Pack event coming soon, so be sure to check back frequently.

About Cub Scouting

Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. It is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting. Currently, Cub Scouting is the largest of the BSA's three membership divisions. (The others are Boy Scouting and Venturing.)

The 5 levels of Cub Scouting:

Recognition is important to young boys. The Cub Scout advancement plan provides fun for the boys, gives them a sense of personal achievement as they earn badges, and strengthens family understanding as adult family members work with boys on advancement projects.
